About Chris Spheeris
Chris Spheeris has 18 recordings, spanning two decades, that have sold in excess of one million copies. Spheeris’ art is an uplifting experience in the musical fusion of world harmony and is an eclectic combination of guitar and piano melodic expression.
The Wisconsin native has scored numerous documentary films and is a pioneer in the field of modern romantic music. His music is heard on television and radio all over the world and recognized as some of the most elegant music gracing the airwaves today. Best known for his multi-cultural, romantic instrumental recordings, Chris Spheeris has sold more than one million records in over 40 countries. He has received gold and platinum honors and has scored more than fifty documentary films.
His music has been featured in the Olympics and Winter World Skating Championships, on popular daytime television dramas, most recently in the 2002 Miss Universe Pageant, and has been recorded by numerous well-known pop artists in the US, Greece, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
A 20 plus year resident of Sedona, Chris Spheeris helped pioneer the new age movement by being one of the first such artists to be signed to a major record label in the late 80’s. Highlighting his singer/songwriter abilities, his music is reminiscent of the era of great songwriters such as Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, and Joni Mitchell. Disarmingly candid and lighthearted, Spheeris’ deep philosophical nature accentuates his unusual gift for creating a warm connected atmosphere during his performances. In addition to his musical works, Spheeris also finds inspiration in authoring what he refers to as “transformational poetry”, and in capturing the moment with his colorful photography. In 2011, Chris began a new chapter in his career by offering Creativity Workshops.

Inspiration, and subsequent creativity, are not about what’s in our heads, far from it. In fact, quite to the contrary, pure inspiration can really only happen when we get out of our heads and allow ourselves to become fully engaged, fully immersed in presence. These playshops/lifeshops are like nothing out there. They use art and the creative experience as metaphors, templates for creating our lives as the ultimate art form. Through immersion in the creative experience, we learn to identify the quality of inspiration and true presence. Imbued with inspiration, our lives become more purposeful, creative, peaceful, joyful, spontaneous, focused, healed, and ultimately more loving.
The playshop/lifeshop is filled with hands-on experience in writing, photography, ceramics, painting, movement and music. Also, inspired guest speakers/artists share their life experiences and their inspirations. Chris conducts creative exercises and meditations, and gives specific instruction in photography and the art of “seeing”. He shares insights on freeing creativity, finding passion in life, tapping inspiration, living life creatively, and the profound spiritual, emotional and psychological healing that goes along with this freeing process.
