The Sedona Women’s mission statement

The Sedona Women, "Dames Who Make A Difference", are dedicated to making a positive and lasting impact on the community by providing opportunities for women to build relationships, to learn about the community, to support community needs and to enhance the natural beauty and distinctive character of Sedona.  The Word "Dame" is used in England as a title of honor - the counterpart to a Knight - and connotes commitment, integrity, passion and earned knowledge.  A "Dame" is a woman of substance.

Our History.

Through the vision of founder, Helen Wolfe, The Sedona Women, “Dames Who Make A Difference”, was formed in the spring of 2000.  Since then, The Sedona Women have been sponsoring monthly program meetings, hosting social events and trips for members as well as doing hands-on projects to benefit the community.

Membership

Membership in The Sedona Women is open to all women who care about Sedona and who are committed to making a positive and lasting impact on the community.  The Sedona Women is not a political group and does not take positions on divisive community issues.  Rather, it works toward creating a greater sense of community for all.  General meetings are open to all women.  Annual membership fee is $65.  See our Event Calendar for upcoming meetings. New memberships welcomed.

The Sedona Women, Dames Who Make a Difference, meet at Sedona Creative Life Center on the second Wednesday of each month.  Visit us online at www.thesedonawomen.com.
