Dynamite Diva Night
Get ready for the 3rd annual Dynamite Diva Night, June 4th,
2010, 7 pm in the Great Room.
This year we have 3 wonderful and exciting vocalists;
Jeanie Carroll, Shondra Jepperson and
Susannah Martin plus a crack 5 piece band. Last years' show was
a long, rousing, standing ovation success and nearly sold out.
In the last 10 months, the ladies have been busy with their
own projects. Jeanie with her successful DJ
business, full time teaching, the Flagstaff Chorale, local concerts at Studio
Live, Sentimental Journey band and preparing for the Variety Extravaganza at
West Sedona Elementary. Jeanie and Shondra were both judges for the Sedona
Sunrise Superstar Contest, which was sold out for weeks.
Shondra has been doing
lots of local shows, Broadway, Cowboy and otherwise with her talented husband
Tom. In addition to songwriting, arranging, narration and voice overs, hosting
movies for the Film Festival and emcee for the monthly Chamber of Commerce
mixers and the Sedona Marathon, music director for the Center for Spiritual
Living and acting in Canyon Moon productions, she continues to teach and coach
acting / voice privately.
Susannah has emerged as
the 'circle singing' leader conducting weekly classes at Studio Live in the
Bobby McFerrin style, teaching voice lessons and performing with stellar
musicians and recording artists Bob Murnahan, Porangui, Troy Perkins, Eric
Miller and Patrick Ki. She also finds time to be a featured vocalist for Artists
in Rhythm wedding events and private parties.

This years' show has been streamlined and energized and
features group singing as well as numerous opportunities for their individual
and distinctive talents to shine. From Motown to Michael Jackson, Earth , Wind
and Fire, Beatles, Broadway favorites from Hairspray, Chicago, Evita and A
Little Night Music, Tina Turner, Shawn Colvin, Pointer Sisters, Dusty
Springfield, Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau, Gloria Estefan and Mariah Carey.
The concept behind the show was the idea of Steve Douglas,
who had a vision of a unique, annual concert that would feature some of our best
vocalists doing what the general public might not be familiar with. The chance
to present that type of show to the community, was a lifelong dream. A really
fun variety evening totally designed to showcase the ladies with performances
all over the stylistic map.
Backing up the ladies will be Steve Sandner, acoustic grand
piano, Bob Murnahan, guitar, AJ Siniaho, trumpet and synthesizer, Kevin McQuaid,
drums and Artists in Rhythm owner, Steve Douglas, upright / electric bass.
Professional sound provided by Clear Air of Flagstaff. Poster/ flyers designed
by Vibhas Kendzia. Our thanks to our friends at Showstoppers for their generous
support and to the Javelina Leap winery for intermission refreshments.
