Art of Being
with Patrice Donnelly

Art of Being is a creative process that takes you into the wild territory of painting directly from intuition.  It’s a leap beyond the predicted and expected - an adventure into color, form and image where no rules apply.  It provides for a fascinating voyage of inner discovery and offers an opportunity to profoundly inhabit the present moment. It’s an engaged spirituality – a practice of presence and learning to stay in the sensation of whatever arises.  It’s a unique journey into the Great Mystery.  The goal is free-expression, with the emphasis on the creative process rather than on technique or expertise.

Art of Being is an opportunity to embark on the greatest of all human journeys – embracing your own path and confidently following it by tapping into an extraordinary resource: the vibrant, driving force of your own creative spirit. In these sessions, everyone is a beginner; people from all levels of experience are welcome, including those who have never picked up a paintbrush. You will be given the method with which to do in-depth self-exploration that can lead to pivotal insights for generating effective change. $25 per session with all materials provided. Come to one or all four Tuesday sessions in the Art Cabin 7- 9pm: March 4, 11, 18, 25. Contact Patrice Donnelly at 925-457-3026 or email her at patrice@innerbliss-outerjoy.com to reserve a seat.  For more information visit www.innerbliss-outerjoy.com.

Art of Being is an in-depth process of self-exploration using creativity as a spiritual practice by means of Divine Play.  The purpose of this course is to access the doorway to the voice of wisdom within your heart to find answers and meaning in your life.  Connecting to the heart’s guidance you will find both obstacles, which block your path, and insights that reveal the answers you seek.  Through the process of Divine Play you will discover the way through the challenges you face.  No experience necessary—only a willingness to explore while you play…

“Once you awaken your intuition and get in the habit of listening to
and acting on it, every decision in your life will become reflective of your inner truth. The trick is not to work out all the answers in your head.”

What some of the participants had to say about the Art of Being process:

“ [This process] gave me a map of where to go in order to find peace within myself.  I know I have a long journey left, but just the realization that I don’t have to live trapped inside my head is helping immensely in my quest to avoid major depression and despair.  What [the process] taught me is that the serenity and peace I seek already lives inside of me.  It is truly a living thing separate from the rest of my physical day-to-day life, but I must relearn how to focus my “mind’s eye” on that part of my soul.  I say relearn because I knew as a child, before I had regrets, guilt, worries, and doubts, where to find it.  When I practice what you taught me with watercolors I can find that place again. It has been missing from my life for so many years.”
      - Amy A., Phoenix, AZ

“The Art of Being experience was a real eye opener for me.  I have no artistic skills whatsoever, and it really didn't matter.  The messages and knowledge I gained from this experience were far deeper and reaching into my soul , and unlocked things I had been needing to know about myself.  Many of my questions were answered and the techniques I learned are priceless and I continue to use them in my life today.”
      - Jim S., Port Austin, Michigan

"Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures."   - Henry Ward Beecher
