Part of the International Multicultural Weekend - Returning to the Natural
World. Our multicultural weekend begins on Friday, April 21st from 7-10 pm
in the Great Room with the "Elders Speak"
gathering. This gathering will set the intention and energy for the
weekend ceremonies. Admission $15 (18 & under - Free). Please contact ICA

a safe and healthy environment for cultural exchange and healing. This
event is co-sponsored by New Frontiers-Sedona, the Briar Patch Inn of

Yolanda Martinez is a
Native American Grammy/Nammy 2005 Winner for
Best Female Artist. She was also nominated in 2000 and 2003.
Yolanda is a singer songwriter, performer, and recording artist. She is a Native
American Apache / Hispanic born in Southern New Mexico. For more

Her Musical roots go back to her early childhood when she would sing with no
instruments. Her connection with nature and the natural rhythms of life are what
brought her to make her first Drum in 1987. In 1991 she started the Central
Valley Women’s Lodge Sisterhood in California. She helped Women to connect with,
know and honor who they truly are. She leads Drumming Circles and women’s
circles throughout the US. In 1992 in CA she discovered her musical path. She
and her daughter began performing Native American Programs for the Elementary
Schools. In 1993 she moved to Asheville, NC where she produced six CD’s ranging
from Country, Latin, Contemporary Native American to Drumming & Chants. |

On Earth Day weekend of 2006 people from around the world will be joining
together in ceremonies, celebrations and gatherings that will focus their
hearts, minds, energies and intentions on our Mother Earth. Various
Indigenous Elders from around the world will gather with Scientists and
Spiritual leaders to share their wisdom. The Cuauhtemoc
Aztec Dancers, Deer Clan from Mexico,
Havasupai from the Grand Canyon, Hopi Eagle
Dancers, Yavapai-Apachi Bird singers,
Scottish Highlanders, plus Incas
from Ecuador and Peru, will all gather to share their culture and love of our
Mother Earth through music, song and dance. Our presenters will provide a
foundation of information regarding the Earth and our role in caring for her and
each other. As in all weekend gatherings there will be musical
presentations that will inspire and uplift us all.
