The Soul: Its Nature and Origin

When walking the spiritual path, an understanding of the soul is extremely important. In the Esoteric Tradition, the soul is understood as the center of one's true identity. As such, it is seeking to express itself through its outer reflection, the personality (ego). In this talk William will deeply examine the nature and origin of the human soul, particularly as it pertains to the formation and evolution of the causal body (the vehicle used by the soul). About William

For over 20 years, William Meader has been a student and teacher of Esoteric Psychology. Central to his teaching is an exploration of the many facets of spiritual psychology as conveyed within a theosophical framework. His efforts represent an amalgamation of subjects central to a progressive spirituality. Such topics as the psychology of the soul, esoteric astrology/cosmology and the creative magic of the soul are the cornerstones of his work. His passion is to teach people the deeper implications of modern spiritual development, and the means to more effectively express the soul in the outer world. William's work is international in scope, and has gained widespread recognition.

In addition to his spiritual interests, William has an advanced degree in the behavioral sciences, and has had several years experience as a psychology professor in California. Much of this work is centered upon the transpersonal aspects of human consciousness. Having received a university degree in Business Management, he also has experience as a business educator, offering a variety of staff development seminars and workshops to the business community. William is regularly teaching and lecturing in the United States, Europe, Canada, and New Zealand. He currently lives in California.

The 10 Tenets of the Esoteric Philosophy: The Esoteric Philosophy can be more easily understood and applied when it is considered within the context of its most meaningful principles. In this talk, ten fundamental tenets of Esotericism will be discussed. These ten principles range from understanding soulfulness as it is found within all things, to the practical role spiritually-minded people are asked to play in an effort to co-create according to the will of the Larger Life (God). Contemplative Meditation: The focus of this talk is on the nature and importance of contemplative meditation. The first part of the discussion is directed toward understanding the theory and practice of contemplative meditation. Emphasis will be placed on the meditator understanding his/her relationship to the Boundless All, as well as the importance of establishing a "point of tension" within the meditation process. With this knowledge, the listener is encouraged to do the meditation for a period of time. A guided meditation is included to facilitate this process. (Length: 60 minutes)

Exposing the Imposter of the Soul: The ability to distinguish between genuine impulses coming from the soul and those created by the spiritually minded personality (imposter) can be quite difficult. Yet, such discernment is crucial as one strives for increased soul-infusion. This presentation is an in-depth examination of the imposter. In addition, a wide variety of psychospiritual processes are offered to promote true discernment between the soul and the imposter, as well as to facilitate authentic soul-infusion. Soul Purpose and the Seven Rays: According to the ancient Esoteric Philosophy, all of creation came into being through the interaction of seven great streams of energy (Rays). These Rays condition all life upon our planet, and every human being is subject to their influence. From a spiritual perspective, an understanding of the Seven Rays is crucial, for it is said that every soul is found upon one of them. To know and understand the Soul Ray is to discover your essential nature and spiritual purpose in life. Spiritual Initiation - Milestones to Enlightenment: This talk is an introduction to spiritual initiation as conveyed within the Esoteric Philosophy. Spiritual initiations are always taken by the soul itself. They represent milestones of development that eventually lead an individual to enlightenment and liberation. Included will be discussion on the nature of the five spiritual initiations leading from probationary disciple to the status of Master. Each initiation is presented in detail, as well as the psychological and spiritual requirements that must be demonstrated before initiation can be conferred. (Length: 60 minutes)
